Privacy policy

This policy explains how we process personal data of visitors and buyers of the electroeu.com website, including visitors from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Law of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”.

This is an English translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy the Ukrainian version of the document prevails.

Revision

Last revised: 19 October 2026 (Ukrainian original). English GDPR edition: 28 October 2026.

Who is the controller

The controller of your personal data is the Seller: sole proprietor Andrii Oleksandrovych Vorontsov (the ElectroEU online store), established in Ukraine, a third-group single-tax payer. Phone: +38 (050) 367-62-12.

Email for privacy requests: info@electroeu.com.

Warehouse and pickup: Kyiv, Revutskoho St. 40B.

What data we collect

When you place an order:

  • last name and first name (as in your documents: they are needed for the carrier’s waybill);
  • phone number;
  • email (optional);
  • delivery details: the city and the Nova Poshta branch or parcel locker, or the courier address;
  • last name, first name and phone of another recipient (if you entered one);
  • for companies: the VAT ID and the fact that the buyer buys as a business (private person or company);
  • a comment to the order (optional);
  • the contents of the order;
  • a record of your consent (the time and the revision of the policy).

When you send a “Notify me when available” request:

  • a phone number or an email (one is enough);
  • a name and a comment (optional);
  • the item the request is for.

When you use “Find by photo”:

The photo you choose is recognized right in your browser (on your device): it is not sent anywhere, does not reach our server, database or logs, and we never see it. The text read from the nameplate is used only to show you products from the catalog; we do not store it. If you press “Send a search request”, an email opens in your mail program with the text that was read; you attach the photo yourself, and then it reaches us as ordinary correspondence.

Technical data. For security and protection against abuse the server processes technical data of a request, for example the IP address (in particular, to limit the number of requests from one network). Web server logs (page address, date and time, IP address, browser type) are kept for up to 14 days and are then deleted.

We do not collect special categories of data (Art. 9 GDPR) and we do not make decisions based solely on automated processing.

Why we use the data and on what legal basis

PurposeDataLegal basis (GDPR)
Accept and fulfil the order: confirm availability, agree delivery and payment, contact you, deliverName, phone, email, delivery details, order contentsPerformance of a contract or steps at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))
Issue invoices and keep accounts, answer warranty claimsOrder and contact dataLegal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) and our legitimate interest in handling claims (Art. 6(1)(f))
Tell you when an item you asked about is availablePhone or email, the itemYour consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw it at any time
Protect the website from abuse and fix errorsIP address, server logsOur legitimate interest in security (Art. 6(1)(f))
Understand how the website is used (Google Analytics)Cookies, anonymised usage dataYour consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the ePrivacy rules)

We send only messages related to your order or request; there are no marketing mailings.

The order form automatically checks whether what was entered looks like a real last name and first name, because they are needed for the waybill. If an entry raises doubts, a manager may clarify it during a call; this does not affect the price or the terms of the order. No decision with legal effect is made by this check.

Giving the data needed for an order is a contractual requirement: without it we cannot fulfil the order. All other data is optional.

Who receives your data

Only to the extent needed for the purposes above:

  • the carrier, Nova Poshta (the recipient’s last name, first name and phone, the delivery city and branch);
  • the order management system (CRM) in which our managers process orders;
  • service providers acting on our behalf (processors): the hosting provider (Hetzner), the mail service (Zoho Mail) and the Seller’s accountancy;
  • Google (Google Analytics), only with your consent.

We do not sell personal data, do not use it for advertising and do not pass it to anyone other than those listed above.

Transfers outside the EEA

The store is run from Ukraine, so your data is processed in Ukraine, which is outside the European Economic Area. Some providers may process data in the EU or in other countries (for example, Google may transfer analytics data to the United States).

How long and how we store data

  • orders and the data in them — 3 years from the order (claims, warranty, accounting); documents that the tax and accounting law requires us to keep are kept for the period set by that law;
  • availability requests — until the item is available and the request is answered, and no longer than 3 years;
  • server logs — up to 14 days;
  • Google Analytics data — according to the retention setting of the analytics account.

Order data is stored in the store’s database and in the order management system (CRM); managers have access through a password-protected admin panel. The connection between your browser and the website is encrypted (HTTPS).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access your data and receive a copy of it (Art. 15);
  • have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16);
  • have your data erased (Art. 17) where there is no other lawful ground for keeping it;
  • restrict processing (Art. 18);
  • receive the data you gave us in a structured, commonly used format (Art. 20);
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21);
  • withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the processing done before withdrawal (Art. 7(3));
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: in the EU country where you live, work or where the issue arose, or in Ukraine — the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights; you may also go to court.

To use your rights, write to info@electroeu.com or call +38 (050) 367-62-12. We answer within one month (the Ukrainian law sets 30 days).

Cookies and analytics

To make the cart, favorites, comparison and the currency choice work, your browser stores data locally on your device (localStorage); we do not receive it and it is strictly needed for the features you use.

To understand how visitors use the website, we use Google Analytics. It sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and collects anonymised data: which pages and products are viewed, which source the visitor came from, the type of device and browser, and the approximate country and city. The full IP address is not stored in Google Analytics. Your name, phone and email are not passed to this service. The website does not use advertising counters.

On the English version of the website, Google Analytics is loaded and sets its cookies only after you press “Accept” in the cookie banner. If you press “Decline”, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page; withdrawing the consent removes the analytics cookies and does not affect anything done before. Your choice is remembered in your browser.

You can also switch off collection in your browser settings (blocking cookies) or with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Children

The website is intended for people aged 18 and over. We knowingly do not collect personal data of persons under 18.
